Holding our Hands . . .

Thanks for digging a little to get to this page. Kay & I struggled a little in how to convey what is on our hearts. Hopefully this will get to the heart of what we are sensing regarding our on-going support. PLEASE feel free to email or call us if you need further clarification!

Kay & I understand our deep need for prayer partners to accomplish Jesus' desire for our destiny to spread the Gospel. We will need to communicate our needs and times of struggle or weakness knowing there will be those who will bless and pray for us. In seeking how to accomplish this with dear friends long distance, the story of David's Mighty Men became insightful. (The story can be found in I Chronicles 11 & II Samuel 23)

David has a core of 30 warriors that were committed to and linked to kingdom destiny. Kay & I are believing that the Lord will give us 30 people (or couples/families) that will do spiritual warfare on behalf of our family. These 30 "Mighty Men" were skilled and experienced in battle. They gave willingly of themselves on behalf of the kingdom. We believe the Lord will greatly bless us with those of kindred heart as we venture forth. Already the "war" has begun. More than one of our dear friends have wrestled in warfare on our behalf.

Radical living and radical giving for Kingdom purposes is often mocked or ridiculed, even among believers. We had a good friend say to us before we left: "Why don't you just reach out to the poor here?" Our answer was: "Almost anywhere in America you can turn around and get any help you need; financially or spiritually - that simply isn't true in most of the rest of the world." Many Christians don't really understand the basics of the gospel. Unless one hears of the salvation message of the cross and accepts their need for a saviour - Jesus, they go to hell. God's plan was the cross and only the cross. Period. He sends out his servants to get the message out. Many Christians think there is a "plan b" because of a loving God. They really believe if someone in a foreign land or isolated area of the world doesn't hear the message of God's love through Jesus, that somehow they have a chance to go to heaven. People can believe anything they want, but that is not orthodox Christianity or Biblical - AND a slap in the face of every missionary or martyr that ever gave their lives for the Kingdom.

"It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. He is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:10 - 12

We are on a radical mission that the enemy will try to thwart, and WE NEED warriors in our camp! Prayfully consider if you would like to be yoked with us in spirit. There may be times of turmoil that the Lord will awaken you in the night to pray for our family! (It has already happened to some of our close friends - and we have really just begun.) We will put those who make this monthly commitment to give and pray on a separate email list. We will share openly our joys and struggles. Another spiritual principle that comes into play is found in Matthew 6:21 & Luke 12:34 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." It is simply a spiritual reality that your heart will be joined with ours as you give into our ministry.

The amount you feel led to give on a monthly basis is not nearly as important to us as your heart felt call to this ministry. We will need to do the pragmatic task of budgeting, so whatever you feel led to do, it would help us in our planning.

Thanks for considering being a part of our lives and this ministry - click here for more details on supporting us.
