'`'`'`'`' Johnson Family Missions '`'`'`'`' '`'`'`'`' June 2007 '`'`'`'`'`'`' Bula !fname: Vinaka (thank you) for your interest in our journey! You should be getting our quarterly snail mail this month. Please let us know if you don't recieve it! (The text is below in case you didn't get it.) Rather than be redundant - as the IWT tour is so close and prayer is needed so much right now, we thought we would send you an IWT (Impact World Tour) update - and ask you to join us in prayer for the upcoming harvest! Be sure to visit our web site for updates, including a new card sending service on our links page! http://www.johnsonfamilymissions.org/links.htm "Hey Friends, Well it’s been another fruitful week in Fiji in preparation for IWT which begins in just 7 weeks from now. We’ve seen some awesome breakthroughs this week, and there are some awesome challenges ahead. Here’s a look at some of the action this week…. A few basics: IWT FIJI Campaign dates: 3rd September – 14th October 2007 6 weeks, 19 locations, 2 main Islands, 3 regions (3 offices – Suva, Lautoka, Labasa) Budget: approx FJD$890,000+ Praise Points: Richard Betts is in Fiji this week spending time in both the west and the central regions. He has been a real help in meeting with Exec committees and training task force chair people. Nadi has really taken off well, with tremendous unity in the church and also the executive committee. They are very excited about the tour, in fact on of the exec members is looking at taking off two weeks of work (manager of a business) during the tour to give his 100%. CKO’s are going really well, and are continuing to happen weekly right across the nation. Coordinators are doing a fantastic job with these. Suva surged strongly forward this weekend with a CKO at World Harvest Center (largest church in Suva) with approx 800 - 900 youth in attendance. It was a powerful time with many signing up to committees. There was also a Youth event at the Wesley church with 400-500 in attendance who were exposed to the IWT vision. God seems to be really opening up doors in Suva. The momentum is beginning to really pick up. Keep praying. The one and only IWT Van was finally fixed and can be used again, however, the tires blew out this morning. The battle for transport continues…. Taubale had a great time in the North. It was a much needed trip, and he was able to meet with some of the execs, and push things forward. They have responded well. The Anglican Church in the north has opened their doors to IWT and are fully on board which is great! The fire authority is willing to give us fire extinguishers (with refill) for FREE!!! Staff Gathering is taking place next week on the 26th and 27th of July. Again….IWT NZ will be holding a Banquet in Auckland on the 10th of August to raise $ for the campaigns in FIJI. If you know of people who would be interested in attending or hosting a table, please email iwt-nz@impactworldtour.com. This is a fantastic opportunity for the church in NZ to get behind what God is doing in Fiji at this time. The advertising and printing budget has been finalized and has come in within the allocated budget which is god news, now we just need the $. IWT seems to be working as an amazing tool to bring together churches that have never worked together before. Praise God for unity! Prayer Points. Workers, workers, workers...especially locals, who are quite informed with admin and logistical work that can commit FULL TIME until the tour ends: specifically someone who can help out with advertising for: Radio, TV and Newspapers. We also need a qualified or experienced accountant who can come and help us out in the national office. Pray for a release of finance. It seems as if the Tech will cost a lot more than we first anticipated, while other areas a slightly lower. Pray for final quotes to come in fast. The bus company is giving us the wild goose chase. We still need Approx FJD$450k to meet the entire budget. Pray that all Executive committees would feel urgency to be at meetings and mobilize taskforces in this final time before the tour hits. Pray for Taubale and Ofa and all the coordinators. Pray for Wisdom, discernment, strength. Pray for the towns that have been slow to come on board, that they would capture the full vision. Pray for the church of Fiji, that it would be prepared for the harvest that is coming. Pray for the Staff gathering next week, that it would be a wonderful time of refreshment, vision, encouragement and fellowship for all. Pray for the teams as they prepare to come…. physically, spiritually and financially. Still no news on the vehicles stuck on the dock. Pray for a fast resolution to this situation, as they have been stuck now for 5 months. Pray for an outpouring of Gods spirit on Fiji during this time. Well once again, that brings us to the end of this weeks update. Please let us know if you get anything in prayer. Also, feel free to pass this on to anyone who is interested in what is happening in Fiji. Blessings, IWT FIJI Leadership Team" '`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`' Blessings, Curt, Kay & Hanna Johnson 1-815-918-4304 http://www.johnsonfamilymissions.org !remove "To donate to a missionary or a fund please  1) make checks payable to "YWAM".  2) Please write their name on a separate piece of paper or sticky note as follows "for the support of ...(full name of missionary) in ...(city & country)"  For U.S. citizens this is very important as the IRS will not consider it as a donation to our non profit organization if the person's name is on the check & thereby the gift will not be considered tax deductible.  3) Mail check to:  YWAM PO Box 61700 Honolulu, HI 96839 Try to get checks to us by the 24th or the previous Friday if the 24th is on a weekend. We will mail you a receipt once the check has been processed.  Thank you for your support!  Erin Urabe Accounting Staff" "Bula Friends and Family: Please continue to visit our website for updates and pictures regarding our journey. Thanks so much for your interest and support. The “climate” in Fiji is getting intense. The military dictatorship is making choices that are destroying the economy which causes the average Fijian (who already lives near poverty level) to suffer. Amidst the political turmoil, the church is growing hungry for a move of God. We are operating under strong and confirmed words from the Lord that God is going to move forcefully in the coming days in Fiji that will not only impact this nation, but the South Pacific and Asia as well. Many young people from this harvest will find their destiny in the end times harvest mission field. Curt had the incredible privilege to speak to a couple of gatherings of well over 1,000 Christian young people this last weekend. There is a hunger for God in their hearts to see a harvest here in Fiji, and follow the Lord to do great things for the Kingdom. The opportunities here in Fiji for their future is bleak. This combination of these dynamics is creating a vacuum that the Lord is going to fill. A strong and fresh move of the Spirit is about to be unleashed. We rejoice in that, but also know the enemy doesn’t want it. The last few weeks have been some of the most intense spiritual battles we have ever fought. One of the areas the enemy has attacked us personally, and corporately the work of YWAM and Impact World Tour here, is financially. Personally, the enemy has literally robbed us of our main business. Many times the IWT’s check book has been on zero! The vehicles from New Zealand were confiscated illegal by the military regime. A wealthy businessman in America that was going to give substantially to the work here lost a bizarre law suit case, etc, etc. Time to Fight As we founded this ministry, Kay & I continue to have enough income to cover our personal living expenses. All your giving is directed 100% to missions activity. We are asking you to please pray about giving a one time gift toward the Impact World Tour here in Fiji . We believe thousands of young people are going to be radically converted, and out of this harvest the Lord is going to raise up end time warriors. The heritage of this people is incredible. They were great warriors in the past, and they are highly esteemed even in this day as incredible soldiers in the UN forces. Satan is trying to choke out the full flow of what God wants to do in this generation of young people here in Fiji. 1. Please pray with us to fight this spiritual battle. The body of Christ is uniting in unprecedented ways in the nation. 2. Please consider giving towards this tour. 3. Please pass this along to those interested in missions and the end times harvest. The IWT hits FIJI starting in September and last 6 weeks in 17 different cities and locations, finishing right here in our neighborhood in Suva.
