Hi from the Philippines: We will be sending a few more updates over the next few weeks in light of Curt & Holli being in the Philippines. Kay & Hanna have survived yet another move! Although part of us would really like to settle into a place longer term, the Lord has had other plans for us. After finishing 12 weeks at the Bible School campus helping out with the DTS school on campus, Kay & Hanna are house sitting for a great missionary family we work with here. They are back in USA and Germany for 2 months. So - we may be able to find a place of our own to rent that we can settle into for hopefully a year or so. My first report is a short one of passing through a Muslim country. Brunei - even though I was only in the country for a few hours it was very strange being in a Muslim ruled country. Before the airplane took off they (Brunei air lines - national air line) put a video on off a Muslim "blessing" up on the flight. Of course I prayed in the spirit and broke the cursing and asked for ministering angels to guide our flight. Because of the layover, we went to a nearby hotel for a few hours - and there was a fire drill! I didn't know what was going on. It was a huge deal - they did a full scale mock fire with triage and everything - it took an hour. So much for a restful layover. As I went back to my room my heart ached for these people. I was praying to God - "How could we even start to reach this nation?" I got part of an answer quickly as I continued to read and prepare for our upcoming meetings in Hong Kong preparing for Call2All World Congress next year in June. In some of the material David Hamilton, a YWAMer and architect of 4K - mapping the world in 4000 omega zones - he was quoted something like: "If we do not know the names (of unreached people,) we can not place them on the map, and we can not pray, therefore we cannot go." It seems so simple, but I felt faith and encouragement enter my heart that God indeed does have a master plan for these end times and ALL that want to will hear of the Good News. This first step of Call2All will target specific prayer for unreached peoples - and pray is what Jesus emphasized - "pray the Lord of the harvest to send for laborers." So I got on my the third leg to my flight to arrive in Manila and prayed against the Islamic "blessing" and arrived in Manila. I'll be passing through and spending another day in Brunei on my way back. I have some tracts I am going to leave in hotels and airport. I trust the Lord will lead, I don't want to get arrested! Look for upcoming reports on: *Curt & Holli's research into children/orphanage ministries. *Our DTS students and staff (18 of them in all) arriving in Philippines and starting their outreach phase. *Progress on the preparations for the IWT (Impact World Tour) coming to the Philippines starting next year! (Curt's primary assignment over the next few years.) *Announcement and progress on a school that Curt has been asked to head up in Tauranga next year - Call2Harvest Leadership Training School. *Curt's meetings with Mark Anderson here in Philippines and Hong Kong regarding IWT-Philippines, and Call2All preparations. (Mark operates in a extremely significant end times apostolic role. It is a privilege to labor with him. Keep him and his family in prayer also.) Mark shared with me back in January of this year that the end times shaking would begin in the financial realm of societies in September of 2009. His pulse on the Lord's global agenda for the Body of Christ is amazing. I count it a privilege to labor with you, my supporters and prayer warriors, as we work to see Jesus glorified in these last days of human history!
