Happy 2009 New Year

Johnson Family Missions

Dear Family & Friends:

It is good to be back in NZ and making plans for the New Year. Here is a link to a blog of an awesome young couple that we work with. Josh Cole and I were in the Philippines and Hong Kong together - one of the team mates took some great pictures of the Filipino children:

Our Father has plans for victory and fruitfulness for His children this year. Nothing takes him by surprise. I was listening to a bit of Mike Bickle's One Thing conference in KC via the internet, and he told a story about the first time he met Bob Jones. I may have some off the details a bit of, but the story went like this:

Bob Jones visits Mike Bickle at his office - this was 25 years ago, long before the days of personal computers, personal cell phones, wireless technology, etc. He asks Mike if he was a youth pastor, Mike says "No." He asks Mike if he is a singer, Mike says "No." He asks Mike if he is a musician, Mike says "No." He asks Mike if he prays for or has a heart for Israel, Mike says "No."

Bob Jones then goes on to tell him that the Lord showed him he would lead a world wide ministry of millions of young people who would intercede with music and pray for Israel. He told Mike the biggest group, millions, would be in Asia. He then shared the vision he had of people in the rice fields watching little televisions in their hands and on their wrists - watching what was going on in KC! He said Bob Jones kept saying that the televisions weren't even plugged in! This word was shared years before this technology was even possible!

If not before this week, this prophecy was fulfilled this week as Asians watched the One Thing conference via the internet on their various devices.

Amazing. I don't know about you, but stories like this encourage my heart. God is in control. God has a plan that can not be thwarted. We simply can choose to press into being a part of it.

After leaving Rockford in the summer of 2005, having moved and lived in at least 12 different places in 3 different countries over the last 3 1/2 years, we are finally going to rent a place of our own for at least a year. We are hopeful, finally having a "home" of our own will lessen the ache of not being at "home" in Rockford. Although Curt will be in the Philippines much of 2009, it will be a nice change for all of us.

Just a quick note also to let those in the Rockford, IL, USA area that Curt will be back in February. If you have any groups or churches that you think might be interested in hearing a prophetic word burning in my heart and/or about our mission work, please let us know.

Curt is pioneering a leadership training school in 2009 here in Tauranga that will equip and disciple people for the work ahead with Philippines IWT and the Hong Kong Call2All Congress. Much of this work is on-line and he can continue the preparations and communications for this undertaking while in Rockford.

May Our Father grant you peace and revelation as he draws all who are willing to Himself in these days.

Grace & Peace,

Curt & Kay Johnson
